With over thirty years of experience as a water professional, Chris Petersen has developed into a subject matter expert on local groundwater and aquifer storage and recovery (ASR) projects. Mr. Petersen currently works as a Principal Hydrogeologist and Project Manager with GEI Consultants, specializing in groundwater management. His education includes a master’s degree in Hydrology from the University of Arizona and a bachelor’s degree in Geology from San Jose State University. He served as a Director for the Groundwater Resources Association of California for 9 years and as President in 2016 and 2017 has been an active member since 2005. When not working in groundwater, you can find Chris on his road bike pedaling through the Sierra foothills or just relaxing and enjoying his family.
